The Trappist Abbey of Notre Dame du Sacré-Cœur, founded in 1794. This triple “super beer” entices you with its sweet banana aromas, but then delivers a hop bitterness as the backdrop to its aromatic symphony. Its malty body is enriched with alcoholic esters from the yeast and hop cones. The beer’s character is predominantly herbal and earthy, giving this monastic brew a complex profile. The monks donate the proceeds from this beer to social work and charity.
