It owes its red-brown colour to roasted caramel malt. This blend — roughly 2/3 young ale and 1/3 aged oak-matured ale — creates a layered and long-lasting finish.
Taste: red fruits, vanilla, wood, cheese, chocolate, and caramel.
The beer has a soft flavour with a beautiful balance between lactic and acetic acidity. Its taste is reminiscent of wine, cider, and calvados. A truly remarkable beer.
